We were all new, at one time, and we remember what it's like. It's never easy to walk into a new place. We hope to make it easier by letting you know what to expect.
What are your worship services like? RHBC has one service at 10:30 a.m. Our congregation ranges from casual to business attire so come in what is comfortable for you. The service consists of music from various generations, a sermon, a time of offering and prayer.
When should I arrive? We suggest arriving at least 20 minutes before the service begins (the service begins at 10:30 a.m.). This will give you time to park, find the appropriate place for your children, and make it to our worship service. Click here for directions.
Where do I park? We have two lots, upper (located on top of the hill) and lower (located by the playground). Handicap parking is available on both levels. Most families with young children park in the lower lot for easier access to our Children's Wing. Adults without children and Senior adults may prefer to park on the upper level.
Where do I take my children? School age children (Kindergarten and up) may attend the worship service with their family. Activity sheets and crayons are available for young children. You can trust your infants, toddlers, and pre-K
children with our wonderful childcare staff during worship. Sunday school classes are available for all ages. Greeters or our Children's Minister will assist in finding the appropriate class for your child. Children, ages birth through 5th grade, meet in the Children's Wing (1st floor, lower building, the entrance near the playground). Youth (grades 6th through 12th) meet in the upper building on the first floor.
Where do I go? Worship services are located in our sanctuary and can be accessed in a number of ways. Our greeters will guide you to the sanctuary. Sunday school class/small group study begins at 9:15 a.m. Our greeters or staff will take you to the class they feel would best fit you if you don't have one in mind. Click here for a list of classes.
Will I be singled out as a visitor? No. We will not single out our visitors by making you wear name tags or stand. At the start of each service our Pastor encourages everyone to stand and greet each other.
How do I become a member? You liked your experiences at RHBC and want to learn how to become a member. The minister hosts a "Pastor's Gathering" immediately after the 10:30 a.m. service in the conference room on the second Sunday of each month. This is an opportunity to learn about RHBC, meet the staff and some of our lay leaders but is not required to become a member. More information is available on our Membership page.
