Visitors are always welcome at RHBC! Come in, have a seat and worship with us. We hope to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Greeters are available at our entrances to help those unfamiliar with our church find Sunday School classes, childcare and our sanctuary.
How will I be welcomed in the worship service?
Our desire is that you will feel welcomed without feeling embarassed. You will not be asked to stay seated, stand up, raise your hand or do anything else that will make you “stand out” as a guest. During the welcome and greeting, the pastor will ask any first time guests to fill out the communication card that is in the pew pocket and place it in the offering plate when it is passed later in the service. During the greeting everyone stands and greets one another.
How should I dress?
Please come as you are, and wear what is comfortable to you. You will see that some folks enjoy dressing up and others like to be casual.
Where do I park?
There is ample parking in the lower level parking lot. Additional parking, including senior and handicap parking is in the upper parking lot.
Where do I take my children?
We provide professional childcare for babies to pre-kindergarten children. The childcare rooms are located in the Children’s Wing (1st Floor of the lower building near the playground). All children who are left with our childcare workers are issued a pager number so that we can contact the parent(s) should the need arise. When coming to Sunday school, Greeters are at all entrances to show you to the appropriate classes. School age children can worship with their parents in our sanctuary during the worship service and attend their age appropriate class during the Sunday school hour.
Do the children and youth volunteers and staff undergo background checks?
Yes. All of our volunteer and paid adults who minister in the children and student ministries undergo a criminal background check. We also have a Child and Youth Protection Policy that describes appropriate behavior and boundaries when ministering to children and students.
How do I become a member?
There are three ways to become a member. First, you can become a member by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, followed by baptism. Second, you can come by transfer of letter from another Baptist church. This means that you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, been baptized, and became a member of another Baptist church before joining Rosalind Hills Baptist Church. The final way is to come by statement of faith. This means you have received Jesus as Lord and Savior in another denomination. All three of these ways of joining are accomplished by walking forward at the end of a service and making a public commitment.
Watch-care or associate membership is available for those wishing an affiliation with our church but not desiring regular membership. It is often used by students or those with us for a short period of time. If you have any questions about membership, please contact the church office and ask to speak with the pastor, Brad Smith.
