- January 23, 1954 to June 27, 1954 Sunday School classes and worship services held in two neighborhood homes on Laburnum Avenue.
- February 22, 1954 Rev. H. W. Connelly began his ministry as Pastor of RHBC. He served from February 11, 1954 until October 31, 1955.
- April 4, 1954 RHBC was officially organized and constituted with 28 charter members. Ground breaking ceremony was held at the corner of Langdon Rd. and Laburnum - 2711 Laburnum Ave.
- June 27, 1954 The first service was held in the new building (now known as the choir suite)
- January 11, 1956 Rev. Alan Neely was called as Pastor. He served from February 19, 1956 until August 6, 1961. Dr. Lynn C. Dickerson was interim pastor until November 5, 1961
- July 20, 1957 Ground breaking ceremony for new building. originally meant to serve as a multi-functional facility (sanctuary, kitchen, fellowship hall, recreation), it was later changed to sanctuary only. The second level was Sunday school space and the lower level was to be a fellowship hall.
- May 4, 1960 The church voted to sponsor a Baptist Mission Church start on Colonial Avenue. That church was later named Colonial Avenue Baptist Church.
- September 27, 1961 Rev. William W. Marshall was called as Pastor. He served from November 5, 1961 until December 29, 1963.
- February 23, 1964 Rev. Stuart A Kersey was called as Pastor. He served from March 4, 1964 until December 8, 1968. The Rev. R. Bruce Griffith, Jr. served as interim pastor until April 5, 1970
- February 21, 1965 Completed remodeling of sanctuary and installed church steeple and chimes.
- April 5, 1970 Dr. Denver Davis was called as Pastor. He served from June 1, 1970 until September 1, 1979.
- August 5, 1970 Church voted to build a lodge and recreational center in the lower field.
- July 1, 1976 Bicentennial homecoming service as RHBC celebrated our nations Bicentennial. A picnic was held on the church grounds. Church historical documents and a booklet scroll with signatures of all present were placed in a "time capsule" which was placed in the cement base of the church sign in the lawn next to Langdon Road.
- May 8, 1977 Art glass window was installed in the sanctuary choir loft and dedicated to the memory of RHBC member John Phillip Craig, who died in Vietnam at the age of 22 on June 6, 1969.
- September 1, 1979 Reb E. Murray McMillan began his service as Pastor which continued until March 23, 1981.
- December 1, 1981 Rev. James R. Thomason began his service as Pastor. He served until July 24, 1988.
- January 10, 1982 Dedication service of elevator, addition and improvements to the church.
- September 17, 1989 Rev. Thomas F. Stocks was called as Pastor. He served until January 27, 2008.
- November 17, 1997 A Kawai grand piano, purchased with memorial funds was dedicated to the memory of Martha Ferguson, who served as church pianist for over forty years. Martha passed away in October 1995.
- April 19, 1997 Ground breaking ceremony was held for the community playground.
- March 22, 1998 Long range planning committee began the process of evaluating ministry and facility needs of RHBC. Architectural drawings were presented and voted upon in 2000.
- August 31, 2000 The recreation lodge was destroyed by arson.
- October 8, 2000 The church voted in a special called business meeting to dissociate itself from the Southern Baptist Convention and identify solely at the National Level with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
- April, 2004 The new building, which includes eight Sunday school rooms, fellowship hall, crossover connector and eighty eight parking spaces was dedicated. The official address was changed from 2711 Laburnum to 2712 Brandon Avenue.
- August 2005 Renovation of the sanctuary and the chapel (which became the choir suite) was completed.
