 Church Teams 

To enable us to fulfill our mission statement:  "Becoming a welcoming community, sharing the presence of Christ wherever we are",  you are encouraged to become a member of one or more of our church teams.  Teams, with a brief description of their duties, are listed below.  (Each teams coordinator will be noted in parentheses and you can send them an email by clicking on their name).
Baptismal Team 

The Baptismal Team makes all arrangements for preparing the baptistry, rooms, and robes for baptismal services, contacts candidates with instructions, assists the pastor and candidates during the service and is responsible for cleaning the robes following the service.  (Bekah)
Children's Ministry Team 

The Children's Ministry Team assists the Minister of Children in planning and guiding the educational, social, recreational, and spiritual ministries for the children of the church family.  (Cathy)

Christian Resource Team 
The Christian Resource Team is responsible for procurement, maintenance, and circulation of books, tapes, CD's, and teaching resources in designated resource areas throughout the facility.  (Cathy)
Church Council Members at Large 
Church Council Members at Large meet monthly, formulate objectives and goals and recommend them to the church for approval, maintain a church calendar and coordinate events, help to maintain a balanced emphasis in guiding the church to achieve its goals and objectives.  Representatives from all major ministry groups serve on the Council, as well as members at large.
Church Vehicle Maintenance Team 
The Church Vehicle Maintenance Team is responsible for proper maintenance of all the church's vehicles, keeping them in good running condition and looking good.  (David)
Counting Team 
The Counting Team meets to count all monies received, make deposits and present the treasurer with a record of deposit.  (Bekah)
Decorating Team 
Decorating team is responsible for placing flowers and other visual aids to enhance worship (banners, displays, etc.), deliver flowers from the sanctuary to shut-ins and decorate the church for special occasions (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc.). (Bekah)
Family Champion Team 
The Family Champion Team is responsible for implementing the guidelines put forth in the book, "Becoming a Church that Transforms Children into Spiritual Champions".  Team meets regularly with the Minister of Children and knowledge of childhood development and parenting skills are helpful.  (Cathy)
Finance Team 
The Finance Team meets monthly, supervises the expenditures of church funds within the guidelines established by authority of the church membership.  They also develop a proposed annual budget for the coming year.
Food Ministry Team 
The Food Ministry Team is responsible for assisting the Food Ministry Coordinator in responding to food service requests (not including Wednesday suppers).  This could include food preparation, set up and decorations.  (contact Pam Rorer)
Food Pantry Team 
The Food Pantry Team is responsible for maintaining an adequate food pantry, preparing food bags for those who request food, ministering materially and spiritually to the needs of those in the community who seek help.  Duties may include packing food bags, bagging chicken, picking up food and supplies from the Food Bank, filling in required paperwork and working when the Food Pantry is open. Greeters Team 
The Greeters Team Members work on a rotating schedule and are stationed at the primary church entrances before Sunday School and before morning worship to welcome and provide information and directions for members and guests. (Bekah)
Head Ushers Team 
The Head Ushers Team is responsible for securing ushers for morning worship and for details relating to preparing the sanctuary for worship and for placing offering monies in the safe for deposit. (Bekah)
Lord's Supper Team 
The Lord's Supper Team is responsible for the purchase and preparation of the Lord's Supper elements and the storage, care, and replacement of equipment. (Bekah)
Missions Council Members at Large 
The Missions Council Members at Large seek to promote, coordinate, and evaluate all missions ministries of the church by receiving, analyzing, and evaluating all requests for mission endeavors which are brought to the attention of the church, including adult, children, and youth mission groups, Mission Tour, and local, national, and international missions ministries.
Men's Ministry Leadership Team 
The Men's Ministry Leadership Team meets on an "as needed" basis to coordinate events scheduled for men.  (Activities may include Bible Study, book club, support group, recreational groups and fellowship meals). 
Music Team 
The Music Team assists the Minister of Music in planning and promoting worship through music.  They are responsible for selecting, recommending for purchase, and maintaining musical instruments, choir robes, hymnals, and any musical equipment. (Bekah)
Nominating Team 
The Nominating Team seeks to fill expiring terms and vacant team positions, assist the Deacons in selecting and calling new Deacons each year, present nominees to the church for all elected officers, teachers, teams and Deacons.
Office Volunteers Team 
The Office Volunteers Team helps the church staff with extra projects such as cutting, copying, folding, mailing, making telephone calls, copying and mailing worship tapes, and substitutes when the secretary is out of the office.  Volunteers commit to a regular weekly half-day schedule. (9am-12:30pm, and 12:30pm-4pm) (Bekah)
Personnel Team 
The Personnel Team has oversight of the work of all staff members and clarifies and interprets responsibility within the church staff. They are responsible for interviewing applicants and for termination of staff members with the exception of the ministerial staff.
Property & Grounds Team 
The Property & Grounds Team oversees our church buildings and property, insuring they are clean, attractive, and in good repair.  With approval of the Finance Team, they employ persons or firms for special maintenance and repair projects.  They also organize and coordinate church wide work days.
Publicity Team 
The Publicity Team is responsible for publicizing upcoming activities and church events.  They will use newspapers, magazine ads, radio, TV, web sites, flyers with local businesses and any other avenues available to us throughout the community, county, and state.  They are also responsible for maintaining church web site.  (Cathy)
Recreation Team 
The Recreation Team is responsible for developing a program of activities and recreational events, including church athletic programs, family fellowships, and special events. They maintain a list of all recreational equipment and make recommendations for securing, repairing and maintaining this equipment. (Cathy)
Sound Room Team 
The Sound Room Team is responsible for securing, maintaining, and operating the church sound system for all worship and special services.  (Bekah)
Stewardship Team 
The Stewardship Team encourages every member to support the church financially and develops an annual program of stewardship consciousness and growth and is responsible for preparing and mailing the annual stewardship campaign material.
Wednesday Night Supper Team 
The Wednesday Night Supper Team is responsible for assisting the church hostess in preparing and serving Wednesday night fellowship dinners and for helping with clean up.  Team members have a choice of time slots (3pm - 5pm - setup), (5pm - 6pm serve), or (6pm - 7pm clean up)  (Contact Pam)
Women's Ministry Leadership Team 
The Women's Ministry Leadership Team meets monthly to pray together, to assess the needs and interests of women and to plan accordingly.  (Bekah)
