Wednesday Night Bible Studies
6:00 pm - We will be hosting John Tadlock who will be discussing the intentional Interim Process.
On Wednesday nights Bible study leaders are using the book “I Dare You” by Joyce Meyers. The book deals with living a life of passion and purpose. Through her classic style, Joyce explains where to find the origin of what motivates and drives people to live the way they do. The studies help you understand how to determine your purpose and discover the passion to fuel it. Joyce also explores ways people keep themselves distracted from their purposes and extinguish their passion. Here are eight ways she identifies that people waste time: worry, guilt, trying to change what only God can, complaining, anger, fear, blame, and comparisons. By discovering what invigorates and inspires your mind you will receive the determination to fully realize your potential.

Join these leaders as they share the information from Joyce Meyer’s book “I Dare You” on Wednesday nights

TNS FUND
Contributions to Tom Stocks and his family, “TNS Fund” will be accepted through the end of February.
Thank You!

Dear Friends,

Over eighteen years ago, RHBC “took a chance” in calling a young pastor to lead their church. That young pastor was Tom Stocks, and he and his young family have been greatly blessed since that initial calling, and hopefully RHBC has benefited and grown as well.

RHBC is a fine church, comprised of many wonderful, patient, kind, gracious, dedicated, generous, and loving Christian people. I have known this “first hand” because I have observed and experienced the qualities myself, during my many visits to RHBC over the 18 year span, as I visited my Roanoke family.

May I thank all of you dear people for being so good, kind, gracious, generous, and loving to my Roanoke family as well as to me. You always made me feel so welcome at Wednesday evening dinners and services, Sunday School Classes, and Sunday morning worship services. I have been privileged to get to know many in the congregation personally and I thank each of you for your friendship.

Permit me also to express appreciation to all for the privilege of attending the worship service and luncheon on Sunday, January 27th and for your gracious and generous expressions of love and appreciation to the Stocks and the larger family. Thank you all!

Bless you, dear people of RHBC and thank you for blessing the Stocks family as well as “this old man”. And let’s remember – “Man is mortal, but God is Eternal”

In Christian Love and Thanksgiving,
Ted. S Hagaman (Paula’s Dad)

Youth.net
Wednesday night in youth group we reviewed a video and talked about God’s commandment to “honor thy mother and father”. I asked the youth to be the parents and I put them into different situations and asked them what they would do and how they would respond to their youth. It sounds like parents have done a great job teaching their children about decision making. I found it very interesting how some of the youth responded. I found out that we all need to work on communication skills though. We also learned about trusting each other. I hope to show the same video to the parents soon and ask them to be the youth. We will see how they respond and we again will learn how to trust each other.

A Special Thank You to…
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Jim and Theresa Nowak and Fred Moody for taking the youth on the ski trip to Winterplace. You saved me potential injuries to my limbs.

To all of the youth for stepping up again and working hard in the Food Pantry. You amaze me how well you work as a team.
Dates to Remember
March 5, this is your youth minister’s birthday.

March 12, Wednesday, youth will be stuffing Easter Eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt.

March 22, Saturday morning, community Easter Egg Party. All youth will be needed to help hide eggs and help the children.

Raleigh Court Elementary Book Buddies
RC is still looking for adults willing to listen to children read or eat lunch with a child(ren) once a week for 30-60 minutes. I currently go on Fridays for 30 minutes, you are going to love it!! Please give me a call should you have questions. Several area churches are participating in this great service.
On a personal note…
I wanted to thank the many hands and hearts that made the children’s participation in the Variety Show a possibility! Not only did our regular leaders sing and practice with children, but they went the extra mile and wore fun t-shirts while they kept everything going. Thank you to the parents who practiced music with children over and over. Thanks to the children who sang with joy and enthusiasm. I was so proud of CLUB 56 as well, using their new puppets and equipment they have been working hard. I hope you were able to enjoy the evening, but if not, please mark your calendars for April 27th, Children’s Sunday. The children will lead in worship-I look forward to the power of their joy!
